The Settlement Investment Corporation encourages and assists Métis entrepreneurs to start businesses or expand their existing business by providing loans, and business consulting.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be a resident of a Métis Settlement to apply.

Eligible Activities

Loans may be used for business expansion, purchase of fixed assets, equipment or working capital. The corporation will not undertake personal loans, loans for household improvements, home mortgaging or any other non-business use.

• Give both business loans, up to $150,000 and agriculture loans up to $75,000.
• Youth (18-36) loans available with rates as low as 8%

Business Consulting

SIC will assist in the preparation of business plans, assist in the identification of relevant business material and provide various workshops directed at increasing awareness about business management.
