Agriculture Statistics Yearbook

This annual publication is a compendium of agriculture, food and beverage statistics for Alberta.

Eligibility Criteria

This is a public document, and there are no restrictions on its access or use.  However, users are requested to properly accredit Alberta Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (AAFRD), Economics and Competitiveness Division, Statistics and Data Development Unit for any use or reproduction of the contents of the publication.

Summary

The Agriculture Statistics Yearbook contains Sections on Farm Income and Expenses, Economic Indicators, Food and Beverage Industries, Agri-Food Exports, Livestock, Crops and Census of Agriculture (occasional).  In all, more than 100 statistical tables provide current and historical data, supplemented with charts and trend analysis on a variety of topics. Alberta data are emphasized, and some comparisons to Canada, other Canadian provinces, and the United States are provided in selected tables and charts. Some selected tables also provide sub-provincial data for Alberta's 19 Census Divisions. The statistical data and information are gathered from a variety of sources, including Statistics Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, CANFAX, AAFRD, other government departments and agencies, and industry.
