The Alberta Research Council's Knowledge Centres are open to the public for on-site use of the collections, photocopying, and reference services. Open during office hours (8:15 a.m. to Noon; 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Monday through Friday.

Open to the public. Clients are encouraged to call ahead to ensure required materials are available.

The collections support the ongoing research at the Alberta Research Council in the subject areas of:

 

advanced materials and processes flow and sensors pharmaceuticals
air analysis forestry research, resources, products and ecology pipeline technology and integrity
air and waste research health informatics plant disease management
artificial intelligence heavy oil and enhanced oil recovery / upgrading production technology
biological control industrial engineering pulp and paper
biotechnology information technologies soil chemistry
chemistry and chemical engineering Insect / pest management soil chemistry and physics
coal and hydrocarbon processing light oil and natural gas soil physics
drilling and completion management (including total quality management) toxicology
ecology: plant, aquatic, wildlife manufacturing technologies trace analysis
environmental research, engineering and technologies microbiology research and development waste research
environmental toxicology pathology water and waste water technology

The collections are comprised of technical books, reports, conference proceedings and technical journals. Our catalogue can be found at: http://www.neoslibraries.ca/. Items may be borrowed via interlibrary loan through another library. On-line database searches (technical literature and patents) can be conducted for external clients, with subsequent document delivery. Actual costs are charged to the client along with a service fee.
