Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) promotes and facilitates the development of a strong economic and tourism base in Greater Edmonton. The firm is a non-profit corporation with a Board of Directors drawn from across Edmonton's business community; the City of Edmonton is its sole shareholder.

Eligibility Criteria

EEDC's services are available to anyone who wishes to form, retain, expand, or locate a business in Greater Edmonton.

Summary

EEDC is divided into three divisions: Economic Development (including Edmonton Research Park (ERP)), Edmonton Tourism , and the Shaw Conference Centre. The chief responsibilities of the Economic Development Division are:

  • Business Formation, Retention and Expansion
    Ensuring that Edmontonians are kept abreast of the numerous business opportunities present in the region and assisting them as they build their businesses.
