The following publications are produced by branches of the Alberta Government.

Summary

Economic Update
Assesses the economic outlook for Alberta, and its regions and major sectors, Canada,and for Alberta's major international export markets. Available on-line only as a PowerPoint presentation.

Monthly Economic Review (monthly)
Monthly and quarterly indicators on the performance of the Alberta economy, e.g. labour force, retail sales, exports, farm cash receipts, etc. Includes comparisons to other provinces and special section on Alberta's regions.

Highlights of the Alberta Economy (annual)

• Significant highlights of Alberta's economy, documenting the advantages of locating or operating a business in Alberta. Comparisons to other provinces and states are included.
• A PowerPoint presentation, featuring the same data as the publication, is available and is updated four times a year.

Inventory of Major Alberta Projects (quarterly)
Lists major capital projects in Alberta valued at $5 million or more, which are planned, under construction or recently completed. The on-line version  is updated monthly.

Alberta International Trade Review (annual)
Reports Alberta annual international exports of goods and services for the past five years; presented by industry, commodity, region and country. Profiles all countries that receive more than $10 million in Alberta exports.

Alberta's International Merchandise Exports (quarterly)
Alberta's quarterly and year-to-date exports presented by region, country, industry and commodity. Each issue includes a U.S. profile, in addition to two country profiles and two industry profiles.

Tourism Market Monitor (monthly)
Reports activities in a variety of tourism-related areas (i.e. hotel occupancy rates, airport passenger traffic, visitor entries into Alberta, etc…).

Facts on Alberta (annual)
An overview of Alberta, it includes information on the province's economy, infrastructure, and lifestyle. Useful as a basic investment attraction handbook.

Weekly Economic Highlights (weekly)
Reports assortment of economic results for Alberta. Electronic newsletter - available only on-line.

Place-to-Place Price Comparison Survey for Selected Alberta Communities
The Place-to-Place Price Comparison Survey for Selected Alberta Communities is produced in order to meet the needs of individuals, businesses and other organizations looking for cost-of-living type information. The report measures and compares price levels for a basket of goods and services in 34 communities in Alberta, during two weeks in the Fall of 2007. The 2005 survey was conducted in 37 communities in Alberta, during two weeks in the Spring of 2005.
