About Deal Generator

Alberta Deal Generator is an Alberta-corridor program designed to help growth-stage companies improve their chances of attracting investment capital. Deal Generator helps qualified technology-based companies become “investment ready,” assists the company in preparing a presentation, then coordinates forums in which companies present to potential investors.

Eligibility Criteria

Entrepreneurs entering the Alberta Deal Generator will have a business underway and may be depleting first- or second-stage funding. Companies with high-growth potential apply for preparation assistance and must pass a “report card” before being able to present at investor forums. The program is open to all Alberta technology companies. Deal Generator is a non-profit program that depends on sponsorships and entrepreneur participant fees to meet its financing requirements.

Angel Investors & Venture Capitalists must meet the requirements of "Accredited Investor" as set out in the Alberta Securities Act.

Deal Generator has attracted over $12 million to Alberta companies from its investor membership since early 2004. Alberta Deal Generator is one of the largest and most active angel and venture capital networks in Canada. Deal Generator has assembled a roster of over 170 angel and venture capital investor members.
