The DMCI offers a supportive environment for inventors and entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas into profitable enterprises.
Eligibility Criteria
The DMCI is looking for entrepreneurs and inventors who wish to develop their ideas into profitable ventures. Business ideas should have a synergy with at least one of NAIT's programs.

The DMCI offers a supportive environment for inventors and entrepreneurs to develop their business ideas into profitable enterprises. Tenants of the DMCI will have access to NAIT's expertise, numerous labs, and other specialized facilities to grow their business.
Our Services
NAIT has 2,700 staff, some 250 programs, and over 17,500 full-time and apprenticeship students. The DMCI's location on NAIT's main campus gives licensees easy access to expert faculty and students to assist them in developing technology and growing their business.
The Centre offers a number of services to tenants including:
- Access to NAIT's expertise and state-of-the-art facilities
- Private offices with flexible lease terms
- Professional meeting rooms and common use areas
- Reception and telephone support services
- Access to professional services providers
- Connections to mentors and students projects
- A high-tech modern facility close to downtown Edmonton
The DMCI is located in the HP Centre at NAIT. Tenants have access to all of the amenities of the HP Centre such as:
- Two state-of-the-art video conferencing centres - Telus
- Communications Centre and Cisco Centre
- Full catering service
- Numerous break-out spaces
- Bytes Cafeteria
- Tim Horton's
- NAIT's TechStore
- Parking available in the parkade or adjacent surface parking lot
The Programme d'aide à la recherche industrielle du CNRC (PARI-CNRC) has two Industrial Technology Advisors located in the DMCI to assist small and medium sized enterprises in developing their technologies. Visit NRC website
