Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business
-
Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) was founded in 1984 as a national non-profit organization. More than 200 Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal businesses are members and supporters of CCAB across Canada.
-
CCAB is non-political and receives no government funding. We are a business organization that is entirely supported by the private sector.
-
CCAB is Canada's leading organization dedicated to promoting the full participation of Aboriginal people in the Canadian economy. We envision a country in which the economic and social well-being of all Canadians is enhanced through the achievement of this goal.
-
Our mission is to connect Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people and companies with the opportunities they require to achieve personal and business success.
-
CCAB is a broker of relationships. We use our expertise to help build successful partnerships in employment, business creation, youth development and community relations.
National Programs
Aboriginal Business Hall of Fame - The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business is proud to present the Aboriginal Business Hall of Fame, celebrating the accomplishments and contributions of Aboriginal business leaders to sustainable economic development for Aboriginal communities across Canada. Each of the nominees should be a role model for his or her community, and also a force for change in the economic reality of Aboriginal Canada. Each should be an innovator, creative in identifying and capturing opportunity for themselves and their communities. Each should be a key player in helping other Aboriginal business people develop and prosper. Each will have built viable and sustainable organizations, recognized as innovators by both their own community and the wider business community. Recent Accomplishments Alberta Contact(s):
The Hall honours leaders who have built full and rich careers by expanding the frontiers of Aboriginal business. CCAB believes the stories of the men and women who overcame great adversity to break trails for others to follow will give hope and encouragement to the next generations of Aboriginal business people. The men and women we honour are well advanced in their careers - they have, over many years of effort, built a legacy that serves as an example of excellence for future generations of Aboriginal business leaders.
